Transform your classroom into a kind, supportive, bully-free place to learn in 90 Days
Are you disheartened when your students are mean to each other?
Are you sick and tired of their 'playground drama?'
Is it draining you? Irritating you? Burning you out?
You’re in the Right Spot If:
You are desperate to create a safer learning environment for your students.
You feel overwhelmed dealing with bullying, cruelty, and mean cliques
And you're frustrated you don't have the just-right curriculum, strategies and tools to teach meaningful character education and SEL.
SEL Myth: Some kids are just mean. There’s nothing that will change that.
SEL FACT: Just like reading, kindness and social emotional learning (SEL) are learned skills. With the right strategies, you can teach your students to build the positive school community you all deserve.
SEL Myth: Social Emotional Learning and Character Education is “fluffy” and doesn’t help hit the mandated state standards. There’s no time for it.
SEL FACT: Social Emotional Learning, if taught the correct way, improves your students’ academic success. It teaches them necessary skills like problem-solving, self-regulation, responsibility, and critical thinking skills that will increase their overall academic success.
What would your school day look like if you could:
Be a more confident educator because you’ll KNOW how to use the proven strategies to teach Social Emotional Learning in the “cracks” of your lesson plans?
Understand how to step by step strategically make kindness, compassion, and helpfulness more of a habit for your students?
Know you’re doing everything in your power to be prevent your most vulnerable students from being bullied OR becoming a bully?
Reduce playground drama and issues that you have to “referee?”
SEL Myth: Teaching kids to be kind will take up too much time.
SEL FACT: The methods and strategies and resources in the Teaching Kind Kids Movement will fit into the “cracks” of your already busy lesson plans. Effective SEL and Character Education can take just a few minutes each day.
Instead of hoping or crossing your fingers that we’re doing everything in our power to make sure our students are thriving with us, we can ensure it without burning out.
Less cruelty. Less bullying. Less teasing. Less cliques. Less drama on the yard.
But you’ll also get MORE.
More collaboration. More teammwork. More inclusivity. More sharing and turn taking.
You want to have more happy days teaching and less stress at school.
SEL Myth: You’re a bad teacher if your kids’ behavior is awful. Their behavior is a reflection of you and your skills.
SEL FACT: You’re a great educator, the exact one these students need. But you can learn strategies to feel more empowered and confident rather than embarassed, frustrated, and burnt out.
Meet your coach, Nicole
Nicole is the creator of Coffee and Carpool: Raising Kind Kids, The Kind Kids Movement and is a mom to three kids.
She’s a recovering elementary school teacher, a speaker & author, and mostly survives on strong coffee.
She has helped busy educators like you for years to intentionally teach social emotional learning so students become the best versions of themselves, thrive in school, and know how to handle tricky peer situations in emotionally healthy ways.
In The Teaching Kind Kids Movement, Nicole shares her expertise, real-life stories from her students and her kids, and more importantly, the tried and true strategies and resources you need to teach kind kids.
SEL Myth: Kindness is taught at home. This isn’t a job for educators.
SEL FACT: It would be great if that was true for all of students, but it is not. And if you don’t encourage, teach, and expect kindness at school, you are inadvertantly allowing a cruel, bullying culture to grow and take over.
Kids who attend a school with a cruel culture will:
hate and resent school
never succeed acadmically
be uncooperative, disruptive, and irritable
be more likely to become bullies
not feel their teachers like them
be insecure, worried, and stressed
just survive school, rather than thrive
But it's not too late. You change all of that, right now.
The Course Videos and Workbook will give you Quick SEL Wins!
But you don't have to take my word for it. Here's what others have said about these strategies:
Jaime S.
Our family is joining you!!! Thank you for doing this!! I have wanted to get my family volunteering for years but the kids are young and we are so busy etc... The usual barriers and excuses. This is a great way to get us started!!
Khatera S.
I really like the kindness activities you presented. We are on a mission for kindness. I would love to use the ideas to get the kids happy about kindness.
Stacy S.
I see [my kids] hugging each other more and telling each other "I love you." Also, they had friends over this afternoon and typically a fight ensues at some point, but they all played well, shared their toys cheerfully, and spoke kindly to each other and friends. Also, they had a babysistter tonight who said they were amazing. We typically get a good report but "they did fight a few times" is always added to the statement. Tonight they were just great for the sitter. I was so encouraged. Keep up the good work in helping families!
Lisa R.
I love all your kindness ideas. We NEED these in the classrooms! I just wish I could get more people to use your ideas! We would live in a much kinder world!
SEL Myth: There’s no bullying happening in my class.
SEL FACT: By the time they leave school, 20% of all students have been bullied, often time in the classroom, under the teacher’s nose. In a class of 20, that’s 4 of your students. You can learn the signs of bullying to protect your most vulnerable students.
You want your students to thrive and be confident. Let us help.
We 100% guarantee if you implement the strategies and resources shared with you during the three months of access, you will see a significant improvement in your classroom environment and your students' behavior.
But, if you're not 100% confident in what to do to teach SEL and help your kids speak and act with kindness more often with less reminders from you, you can cancel at any time.
You can be confident these strategies will work for you and your students.
SEL Myth: There’s nothing teachers can do about bullying. It’s for the administration to deal with.
SEL FACT: We all know that not all administrations handle bullying in a way we would be satisfied with if it was our child being bullied. And if bullied students are so worried and anxious about being targeted they can’t focus on learning, you have to step in on their behalf. It is every educators’ job to create and maintain an emotionally safe learning environment. You can learn what to do to keep your students safe.
One Last Note from Nicole:
Teaching is not for the faint of heart. It is emotionally and physically exhausting where you constantly second guess yourself: Am I doing this right?
I won’t lie: the strategies you will learn in The Teaching Kind Kids Movement over the next three months will be more “work” for you.
But if you commit to implementing the strategies you learn and use the resources you have access to, you will ensure your students will become kind, thoughtful, caring, generous, helpful, compassionate people.
And then you won’t have to wonder anymore…
You will be doing it right for your students.
You can intentionally teach, foster and encourage your students to be kind, thoughtful, generous, and helpful.
Teaching kind kids with Character Education can feel easier.
But you need to use the specific and effective strategies and resources you will have access to in The Teaching Kind Kids Movement.
