Welcome to Coffee and Carpool: Raising Kind Kids
I’m Nicole and I’m a recovering elementary school teacher, a mom to three super busy kids, and I mostly survive on strong coffee. I help parents and educators intentionally raise kind kids, create stronger family connections, and bully-proof our kids.
When parents and educators focus on kindness by encouraging, praising, modeling, talking about and engaging in acts of kindness with our kids, they will speak and act with kindness more often which will make them happier, more successful adults, and will be better equipped to make this a more loving, kind, and just world.
But I don’t just talk about kindness and mushy gushy stuff like changing the world one kid at a time. Talking about kindness is great and all, but it’s not overly helpful. Instead, I focus on the how.
- How can we teach our kids to be kind even when they’re mad at their siblings?
- How can we remind them to be kind even when we’re not with them?
- How can we teach them to be kind online in this increasingly virtual world?
I share practical tips, strategies, and resources you can start implementing today to encourage kids to speak and act with kindness more often:
