Inside: Use these Friendship Cards to pass out to friends and give as kindness notes to new friends.

Some of my most treasured mementos are sweet note cards from my friends.

And while most of them came during Valentine’s Day, there’s no need to wait until Valentine’s Day to send a sweet note to friends.

These we-go-together pairs of Friendship Cards are perfect for any time of the year to give to a friend.

And to help our kids spread some kindness and good cheer, we can supply them with these free friendship cards they can give out to classmates, teammates, scouts, and close friends.

Helping Kids Understand Good Friendship

Learning about friendship, how to be a good friend, and when to walk away from toxic friendships are hard lessons to learn for kids.

They will absolutely have to learn the hard way as they grow up and interact with others. But, we can also give them resources and tools, and strategies to be a good friend, find new friends, and know who is a good friend to them.

We can teach them how to be a good friend with these tips.

And we can teach them what makes a good, true friend with this Good, True Friend Checklist so they can decide for themselves who is worthy of their friendship.

Help your kids decide for themselves who their good, real, true friends are with this friendship checklist to help them deal with friendship issues.

We can help them learn about the different types of friendship with this Bullseye Friendship. We can walk them through understanding who should be in their “inner circle” and who should stay in their “outer circle.”

Use this Bullseye Friendship printable to help explain different kinds of friends and different kinds of friendships to kids so they set clear, healthy boundaries.

We can read books about friendship like these:

Strictly No Elephants – Being left out of a group is no fun. Good friends invite you to join in, no matter what. Even if you have a pet elephant.

Pink Tiara Cookies for Three- It’s hard to invite a new friend into a friendship to make the group a trio. But including new friends to join in is important.
