Inside: Use these Anti Bullying Printable Badges to reinforce the message of no bullying to kids.
My daughter was bullied in elementary school, right under the No Bullying Posters.
It was a special kind of irony looking at those Just Say No to Bullying posters as I was helping her.
Kindness Posters and Anti Bullying Posters alone don’t work, just like we can’t hang alphabet posters on the wall and hope kids learn their ABCs.
Instead, you have to intentionally teach kids the skills they need to know: the alphabet, and how to stand up to bullying.
So kindness posters are simply a tool to remind kids what you’ve already taught them, much like these Anti Bullying Printable Badges.
Alone, they won’t do much.
But when you pair these anti bullying badges with anti bullying curriculum and intentionally talk about bullying, standing up to bullies, and not showing bullying behaviors, it will be a positive addition.
This is how we prevent bullying in our classrooms and schools.
What Anti Bullying Curriculum Looks Like
There are tons of ways to teach anti-bullying curriculum to students and prevent bullying in classrooms.
But just like how we teach kids the alphabet and learning to read, social emotional learning needs to be taught over and over again, using a variety of tools and resources, and must include giving students ample times to practice and use their skills.
Kids need intentional instruction on what bullying is and what it is not.

Kids need to be given time to practice or role-play what to do in tricky social situations so they feel comfortable standing up for themselves or standing up for others.
Kids need to talk about bullying, write about bullying, and read about bullying so it’s normal for them to recognize it and stand up against it.
Kids need to know why bullying is not okay and they need to know that the school will support victims of bullying behaviors without accidentally victim shaming.

How to Use these Anti Bullying Printable Badges
1. Download and print the badges (download them below).
2. Use these anti bullying stickers AFTER you’ve spent time discussing/learning about:
–what bullying is and what it isn’t
-why bullying is never okay
-how to stand up for yourself
-how to stand up for others
-what to do if you see bullying behaviors
-share with parents what you’re teaching and why so they understand when kids come home with these stickers.
3. Print these on full-sheet label stickers or printable sticker sheets in color or in black and white.
Or print them on cardstock and attach them with safety pins.
4. If you print them in black and white, give kids the opportunity to color them.
5. Cut around the edges. If you’re using paper badges rather than stickers, put clear tape over the top of the badge and put the safety pin through the tape to make it sturdier.
6. Encourage students to wear the anti-bullying badges all day and explain what it means to their parents as “homework.”
But please, don’t stop your anti-bullying campaign with these badges. Keep talking about bullying, bullying behaviors, and how to stand up to bullying. Keep connecting with kids who are most likely to be be bullied and with kids who are most likely to show bullying behaviors.
