Inside: Make Hanukkah more meaningful by making these Hanukkah crafts for kids with your family.
Every year when the holiday decor rolls out, the adorable Christmas decorations fill the stores. And I can’t lie, I love them. I love Christmas.
But since we’re an interfaith family, I’m also on the hunt for cute Hanukkah decorations.
I’m almost always disappointed.
We live in a community where there is a large Jewish population, but still, the stores only give us a shelf. Or if we’re lucky, an endcap of Judaica decor and gifts.
And often, it’s not really all that cute.

Or they just gathered all the blue and gold and silver items and put them together.
It’s a valiant effort, but still not good enough.
So over the years, I’ve decorated our home with Hanukkah crafts my kids and I have made together instead of the store-bought decorations that can’t compete with all the Christmas decor.
And since we celebrate both Hanukkah and Christmas, and Christmas is always going to be bigger and more popular, we really try to “protect” Hanukkah.
