We Celebrate Differently Interactive Emergent Reader Set

$2.00

This emergent reader set on holidays around the world is a great way to introduce kids to character education and social emotional curriculum and how we all celebrate differently and it’s okay to be different and diverse. It’s a great way to not only understand our differences but to appreciate them!

Students can read about all the ways we are similar and the ways we are different in this interactive emergent reader student book that comes in color and black and white as a beginning activity.

They will circle the words that make sense for how their family celebrates. They will illustrate the last page to show their favorite way to celebrate with their family.

These emergent readers use simple language and sight words to describe an essential concept: how we celebrate winter holidays differently. This is perfect for Pre-K students, preschool students, TK students, Kindergarten students, first grade students, and 2nd grade students.

For more Kindness Printables, get our December Kindness Printables Set.

Then you can continue the conversation with the teacher discussion starters during morning meetings or as further writing prompts or as your question of the day.

Students can then connect this social-emotional learning activity with creative writing by writing one or both of the included writing prompts.

This We Celebrate Differently Interactive Emergent Reader Book Set comes with:

  • student copy of the interactive emergent reader in color and black and white
  • discussion starters to continue the conversation
  • 2 creative writing prompts to connect to the topic of being a kind person during writing time.

Get more ideas for kind classroom communities and why it’s crucial here.
